The Arlberg Chalets are located in one of the most snow-sure regions in the Alps. On the Sonnenkopf there is only natural snow, on the Arlberg there is an average of up to eleven meters of fresh snow in the winter months. You could spend hours watching the snowflakes tumble from the sky – while sitting in the cozy warmth of your chalet with a glass of good wine.

Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing – experience nature. Hiking on romantic snowy paths that lead right past the Arlberg chalets, breathing in the fresh, clear winter air, the biting cold can sometimes be so refreshing. Soothing spring sunshine gives your skin healthy color. Rediscover the magical silence of a winter’s night and look up at the sky – into a starry, sparkling sky.

Ski Arlberg is not only the largest interconnected ski area in Austria, but also one of the best and most modern in the world. Olympic champions and world champions have learned to ski here. There are pistes and slopes for beginners and pros.

The Arlberg is the only region in Austria where heliskiing (link: www.lech-zuers.at/heliskiing) is possible.

Our partners

We would like to thank our partners for the successful cooperation!

In the Sonnenkopf family ski area you can enjoy your vacation in winter as well as in summer! Perfect skiing fun is conjured up by the special nature of the natural snow. In summer, there are excellent hikes and the Bärenland for the little ones!

The sunny head

The Sonnenkopf is an insider tip for families. In Schneemannland, children not only have fun, but also learn safety in the snow in a playful way. There is a children’s lift and a lift for beginners.

The Sonnenkopf is also a paradise for freeriders: off-piste fun with a difference in altitude of up to 1250 meters, and all without a strenuous ascent. The “Powder Run” into the Nenzigasttal valley is a three-kilometre descent over a variety of terrain (for pros only). The black piste into the “Bäraloch” is one of the steepest pistes in Austria with a length of 1.5 km and a gradient of 64 percent.

On the Sonnenkopf there are a total of 9 cable cars and lifts and 31 kilometers of groomed slopes (blue 12 km, red 18 km, black 1 km, ski routes 5.5 km).
